Reptile Park Tourism Winner

THE Central Coast's most successful tourism operators were honoured last night at an annual awards ceremony.

A special presentation was held at Central Coast Leagues Club for the Excellence in Tourism awards.

Winners included:

Major tourist attraction, Australian Reptile Park; significant festivals and special events, Wyong Shire Festival of Arts; environmental tourism, Australian Reptile Park; heritage and cultural tourism, Henry Kendall Cottage & Historical Museum; general tourism services, Central Coast Surf Life Saving; tourism retailing, Pelican Board Walk Souvenirs; tour and transportation operators, Central Coast Charter and Central Coast Bushworks (Distinction); industry education, Central Coast campus faculty of Hospitality and Tourism; hosted accommodation, Cockle Bay House; budget accommodation, Terrigal Beach House; camping and caravan parks, East's Ocean Beach Holiday Park; deluxe accommodation, Dooralong Valley Resort; outstanding contribution to regional tourism by an individual, Edgar Adams; outstanding contribution to tourism by a young achiever, Adam Moore and Brent Pilkington; registered clubs, Mingara Recreation Club and Terrigal Memorial Country Club (Encouragement award).
