Unit Plan Progress
Central Coast Herald
Friday April 16, 2004
SYDNEY development company Australand will build its first project on the Central Coast after paying $8.5million for Bellbird Caravan Park at Terrigal.
The company will go ahead with a controversial plan to clear the park of caravans and build a 45-unit development on the 1.6hectare site.
Unit plans for Bellbird more than two years ago prompted Gosford City Council to apply a moratorium on other low-cost accommodation sites at Terrigal and Erina.
The State Government supported the council's move in February.
